Jamie Zhu

Jamie is a 2nd-year undergraduate student majoring in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behaviors. She is part of the Biology Undergraduate Scholars Program, where she developed a deeper interest in neuroscience. At the Gliomics Lab, she hopes to gain hands-on experience with lab techniques, develop data analysis skills, and apply her knowledge to real-world research. She is particularly interested in understanding what causes neurodegenerative diseases, and how microglia can play a role in the progression of the disease.Jamie is currently interested in a career within healthcare and medicine such as nursing or physician assistant. In her free time, she enjoys reading historical fiction books, crocheting, and playing the kalimba!
